MLM Professional Robert Blackman Speaks Out

Robert Blackman

Robert Blackman is a true servant leader for the Network Marketing industry, this is what he published on his Facebook:

RISKY BUSINESS? As a Network Marketing professional I’ve recently been questioned by a prospect that I was “taking a risk” being in the profession I am.

I sat back in my chair and listened and then here’s what I had to say:”Let’s talk about SECURITY then, okay?”

A JOB:

I’ve worked for someone else and so has 100% of my family and friends. Guess what? They all either got fired or the company went out of business. Or, worse yet, they were met at the door with a box of their things and asked not to come back and given an early retirement that few could actually live on.

A TRADITIONAL BUSINESS:

I’ve owned my own printing manufacturing plant before and so has my Father. And, my Mother owned a beauty salon with 13 chairs. So, I’m no stranger to the American Dream of owning your own business. Net result? We lived at those businesses. We had Microwaves, TVs and army cots in the back as we spent so much time there it became our entire lives. Taxes drained our profits. Overtime killed us. Finding a good employee was like finding the pot at the end of the rainbow. Competition undercut our prices and our rents went up. Net result? The business owned us, we didn’t own it!

NETWORK MARKETING:

It’s a non-traditional way of thinking, that’s for sure. But, when I first saw it I couldn’t sleep all night. The simple idea of an individual being able to harness the power of franchising without the $100,000 to $1,000,000 price tag was a dream found true.

“Network Marketing isn’t perfect, it’s just a better”

(Chapter 1 of Eric Worre‘s book “Go Pro” found on Amazon. If you’re serious about making this a career or an intelligent way of adding to your income or retirement get that book)

I chose Network Marketing so I could spend more time with my wife and children, period. That was my motivating to do it while I had a job or owned my printing company. I was smart enough to realize that I would never be able to travel the world with my wife and kids at a job, nor while I worked 80 hours at the plant…never.

I had to do something different if I wanted to get what was important to me, time freedom. I risked my “SECURITY” of a job or a traditional business for my dream…having a big family and actually spending more time with those that I love…it was a simple decision for me.

Risky business?

I believe the risk is an illusion in our minds. To me, the greatest risk is spending all your time building someone else’s dream so they can spend more time with their family and travel the world…that’s how they do it, leverage over employees.

Network Marketing gives you the power of a CEO of a major 500 Corporation without all the degrees, hand slapping and politics. Network Marketing gives a level playing field to anyone, it doesn’t discriminate like a job can.

That’s why most aren’t initially interested in Network Marketing once they see it. It challenges their way of thinking and their way of life…it scares them and it makes them feel insecure.

What most people don’t realize is that you have to keep your job while your building your Network Marketing business. That requires a little time and money on the front end. So, we’re asking a prospect to not take a step forward, but a tiny step backwards on FAITH that we do have a better way.

Most aren’t ready for that. Their spouses aren’t ready for that. They aren’t ready to sacrifice TV time or bowling night. And, that’s okay…get them as a customer. Network Marketing isn’t about CONVINCING or twisting arms like a used car salesman.

No sir. Network Marketing is about EXPOSURE. Like a virus. If I infect you with the Network Marketing virus and you don’t join I move on. I let it do it’s work. The more people you expose it to the more time freedom you’ll have. So, John, I’m doing this thing…are you in are are you out buddy?”

He joined the next day…got his wife on the phone and the three of us got them a realistic game plan to subsidize their retirement and got them on a schedule of two days a week they’d work their business two hours on those days. That’s how this business works folks…expose, expose, expose.

The only risk you’re taking is wildly succeeding if you follow that game plan!

Investigate: What Can a Holiday Clubs Do for Me?

The Benefits of Joining a Travel Club!

Travel or holiday clubs cater for people of all interests, shapes and sizes. There are as many different travel needs as there are people and for the most part the most vacation clubs are geared directly to their likes, dislikes and lifestyles.

Roaring Strawberry | Holiday Club

The main benefits

Most of the popular travel clubs, cruise liners , or on-line travel clubs will have various types of clubs catering to various people. The benefits of joining a travel club among others are:

  • finding people with similar likes,  favourite destinations and adventurous spirits.
  • families can hook up with other families of like interests, ages and sizes
  • whole sale buying power makes it more affordable.

Most travel clubs are associated with certain airlines, cruise lines, hotel chains or resorts.  Some travel clubs offer unique benefits as offered by companies that they are associated with. When choosing a travel club, you should carefully consider the value of these added benefits.

Most travel clubs have initial sign-up fees and/or yearly membership fees. Some travel clubs reward you for your diligent payment by adding reward points to your account. Whether they do this or not, the fees are more than made up for with the savings you get by booking your holidays through the club of your choice.

Travel clubs motivate you to take more breaks more often. To get the best value for your money you need to take a holiday at least once or twice a year for singles or couples, and at least once a year for families (since the more people involved usually requires a higher membership fee). Not all travel clubs require a higher fee for larger families, so it is important to take this into consideration if you are part of a larger family.

Some travel clubs offer an incentive for introducing friends and family to their product, but giving you discounts on their products. Other travel clubs have decided to market themselves by means of network marketing, which means that you can earn an extra income from marketing their products.

Travel clubs, especially international ones often offer access to all-inclusive resorts. This is a foreign concept to most South Africans as this is not the type of package that we are accustomed to. All-inclusive resorts offer packages that include all your food, as well as all your non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks and often water sports and activities offered by the resort. This is a must for those who like sticking to their budget or who travel on a tight budget. On these types of holidays you lock your wallet in the safe when you arrive and only take out when you depart again.

When you are new to the whole concept of traveling outside the borders o your home country, it could be rather intimidating. By traveling in a group, you will feel safer and less unsure of yourself. Some travel clubs also offer value added services like concierges services, which can also enhance your travel experience.

 What not to expect!

One thing that you should not expect out of a travel club would be to be able to go where you want, when you want, at the price you want to pay. Some travel clubs have evolved and they do offer you self-catering opportunities, at really awesome prices.

There are travel bartering sites, where you make your desires known, and a person or business may get back to you with what you asked for, or something very close to it. Some of these sites allow you to post your travel wishes, and travel agents, travel clubs and even people with travel vouchers that they can no longer use can get back to you with offers. Whether you take the offer or not is up to you.

When the travel bartering is done on-line with a stranger, there is always the case of buyer beware to reckon with. But when the travel bartering is done on a recognized travel bartering club, of which you can join for rather inexpensive membership fees, you are guaranteed of the validity of the holiday package that you barter for, as the holiday bartering site only accepts tenders from people who can prove that they do have what they are bartering with.

No matter what your lifestyle or travel desires, there is a travel club that will cater specifically to your personal requirements and wishes. Simply type what type of travel club that would intrigue you into your Internet search engine, and browse through the many returns.  Before doing business with any of the travel clubs, check with the Better Business Bureau or the Travel Industry to see if there are many complaints against the club. Always, always make sure that you make an informed decision, that you are not rushed, that you are not pushed into a corner. The last thing you want is that buyers remorse ruins your holiday experience!

Is MLM Legitimate?

Is network marketing a legitimate business option?

I have been asking myself this question a number of times in the last few months. I previously did not pay a huge amount of attention to building a business since I have been so busy homeschooling my three children, and doing charity work. The reality of bills piling up and the fact that I will still be busy raising children for the next 15 years has been driving to understand that I need to find a way to effective build a business, while I still home school my children and while I still continue to do my work as the CEO of SOFFT.
